5-MULTI-ENGINE TRAINING

Whether your goal is a career in aviation or you want to gain multi-engine experience for personal reasons, we can help you add this rating to your existing private pilot or commercial pilot license.

MULTI-ENGINE RATING

“Multi-Engine training prepares you to fly a twin-engine aircraft. In addition to mastering new maneuvers including one-engine inoperative operations, Flyer Academy emphasizes Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) skills that make you a safer pilot. The multi-engine aircraft rating is available for private pilot certificate holders, commercial pilots, and airline pilots. Without this rating, pilots are limited to only flying single-engine aircraft which significantly lowers the chances of employment as most aviation corporations are resourced by multi-engine aircraft. It is possible to obtain a rating for a commercial multi-engine add-on – this is a rating that must be added to the existing commercial certificate for one engine. In addition, twin-engine aircraft allow for greater safety and recovery possibilities in case of engine failures. In the case of an engine failure, all multi-engine aircraft are designed to allow for normal flight and for pilots to reach the closest airport. Cases such as this require an attentive and skilled pilot with a commercial multi-engine license.
